There’s a wide selection of online casinos out there, and I had to be the one to test them all out. Of course, they had to accept Google Pay in New Zealand-it was the only permanent feature they needed to have. Other than that, here’s a short list of the characteristics that I used as a guide to filter the choices.
User Interface and Design – Nothing irritates me the most than a casino with a confusing design. Once I open up the site, I instantly want to recognize where everything is, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this. This is why I put a heavy priority on online casinos with an inviting and easy-to-navigate UI.
Speed of Transactions and Fees – Despite GPay not having any transactional fees, casinos might still charge you. So, I ranked the ones that had minimal or no extra fees higher than the rest. The speed at which you receive your deposits also matters since nobody wants to wait too long before they can start betting.
Customer Support System – This is another crucial feature that I put a heavy emphasis on. Since we’re dealing with potentially a lot of money here, they must have a speedy system in place that can help resolve any problems players might encounter.
Game Library – I like to switch up my games every now and then. Most gamblers do the same or even play multiple games at the same time.
Editor’s Pick: Top Google Pay Casino for NZ Players
In these two casinos, you can make deposits conveniently using Google Pay payment method. Our editorial team checked them manually so that you can be sure you won’t have to look for alternatives.

What Is the Google Pay Payment System?
Google Pay, or Google Wallet, is actually just a way to process the payment that will deduct funds from your debit card the way doesn’t share your actual card details with anyone. You might as well use a debit card directly (for example Visa casinos), as in that case you’ll also be able to receive money back to it. Google Pay doesn’t accept incoming payments.
Google Pay offers a digital wallet service, along with an online payment that can be used on PCs, tablets, smartphone devices, and supported smartwatches. Their primary goal is to make paying at physical stores or online services convenient and fast. Also, GPay supports the sending of funds from one person to another; thus, recipients may receive payments or bills from their friends and relatives.
How Does It Work?
Primarily works using the mobile app of the same name. It uses funds from your added credit or debit cards, whichever you select in-app, and Google automatically pays for you. You can also register gift cards or loyalty rewards system from their supported merchant.
Essentially, this payment method acts as an intermediary between physical cards and payment services. The great thing about it is that it encrypts all of your sensitive information, and you don’t need to bring around any of your physical cards. You can simply hold your device near a payment terminal for physical stores or log into your account for online purchases.
Note: Unfortunately, you can’t withdraw earnings using this system in a casino. The system itself only supports GPay transfers from one account to another and not through external means. You’ll have to use a different method to receive your winnings. Most of the time you’ll fall back to a bank transfer.
Pros and Cons
Despite being an incredible payment platform, this payment method still has its limitations. Here are a few pros and cons that will help you decide if GPay is for you.
Pros:
It can be accessed on a wide variety of devices, including Android, iOS, PCs, and even supported smartwatches.
Offers extra protection and security of your banking details.
Fast and easy deposits.
Google doesn’t charge any transaction or commission fees.
Cons:
Not all online casinos have integrated Google Pay yet.
Google Pay wasn’t designed to receive funds in mind, which means that withdrawing is not possible.
What to Look for in the Casinos That Accept Google Pay
While I’ve already tested the quality of every casino on the list, I understand that you still have your own personal preferences. Personally, I’d choose a casino based on three main factors: User interface, game library, and customer support quality.
Online casinos with an ugly user interface are borderline unplayable. Trust me on this. You don’t want to gamble for hours on an unbearable UI. It hurts the eyes and might even hurt your wallet.
The game library should also be among the first you look at. Don’t get too excited and sign-up before finding out if they have the game you want to play. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment, and check the available games right away. I’ve learned my lesson from that one.
Finally, the customer support service is the most important factor in my book, and it should be yours too. They’ll be handling all of your concerns, and I’m sure you’d rather not wait days before receiving a reply. Check out player feedback or do a quick CS chat yourself to determine their response time and helpfulness.
Alternatives
The main alternative is iOS counterpart – Apple Pay. It is a mobile payment and digital wallet service developed by Apple. It allows users to make payments in person, through iOS apps, and on the web.
You can also look for other payment alternatives like PayPal, Skrill, and the ever-reliable bank transfer. These methods are widely supported among various online casinos, so it should be no sweat to find one you like.
Google Pay Vs. Apple Pay
They are both safe and encrypted, they both work in the same way, and they can be used for the same services.
While both use tokenization, biometric authentication, and encryption to secure transactions, they implement security slightly differently. Apple Pay leverages a dedicated security chip on Apple hardware for an extra layer of protection and does not store transaction data.
Limits and Fees
It’s completely free to use. However, your link accounts can charge you extra. These are the fees you’d normally pay if you were using them outside of GPay. Google itself doesn’t take any of it.
Everything else that wasn’t listed isn’t supported yet. The limits will depend on your chosen payment system’s policies. Check their guidelines to find out your possible daily or weekly limits.
